Stirred Cake from my lovely auntie a easy recipe with maximal taste
Every now and then I have a sweet thooth. Before I run to the next snackbar I like to create something yummy in the kitchen with clean ingredients.
This is a recipe from my childhood and is still one of my favorite with a cup of warm milk.
Ingredients:
- 275 g flour
- 125 g wheat starch or potato starch
- 250 g butter
- 300g sugar
- 4 eggs
- 1 pk vanilla sugar
- 1 pk baking powder
- milk
- lemon
Mix flour, wheat starch, butter (room temperature), sugar, vanilla sugar, baking powder with the 4 egg yolks together. Separate the egg white from the egg. Add some milk and lemon until you have a nice smooth and creamy mixture.
Beat the egg white up until stiff and gently fold the stiff egg white under the mixture.
With this process your cake will be light and fluffy.
Put some butter in your baking pan and fill it with 3/4 of the mixture. The other 1/4 of the mixture you mix with raw cacao powder and spread it on top of the baking pan and the white mixture.
If you like more chocolate flavor then make sure you mix more of the main mixture with it. Chocolate is heavy and will automatically sink to the ground of the baking pan.
Put everything for 50-60minutes in the oven by 200 degrees.
Tip: With a little wooden stick you can test if the cake is ready. Prick in the cake and if dough doesn’t stick on the stick the cake is ready. If you find dough on the stick then leave it in for a few more minutes.
Let cool off. Flip the cake around and brush melted butter on top and finish off with powder sugar.
Make yourself a hot cup of choco milk and dunk a piece of the cake in it.
That’s how I like it the most
Let me know how you did with your cake and send me a comment here or on instagram.
